Almost my birthday hope I make it???

Well I will start out with I am still on the underground crew. It is pretty fun. Especially when I get to run the trencher or the backhoe. I have another life passing before my eyes story. Except this one is not as bad as the one where the guy almost killed me. You will have to see my wife's blog on her web sight to laugh really hard at the situation. The other day about 6pm I was on my way home from working in Wray Colorado. One hour east of where I live now. I was driving a big wire truck with big reels of wire for you other electric experts it was 4 ought wire and I was pulling a flat bed trailer with the trencher and the four wheeler loaded on it. Well I came into wray from the south and was at a stop light in the middle of the intersection ready to turn. I started to smell this funny smell. I knew exactly what it was and where it was coming from I just did not know how it was leaking. Well It was ether. We keep it in the trucks to start when it is freezing cold outside. The guy I work with and another guy from the wray area were working when I was gone to a funeral in Manassa. They used the ether to start the trencher one morning. When they put it in the cab of the truck they set it in standing up and I have an air ride seat so when i bounced It sprayed out about half the can before I could do anything about it. It was a dangerous day because I was in the intersection waiting for two semi' s to go by so I could turn and get pulled over. I started to feel light headed and I was ready to pass out and I knew I had to stay conscious for long enough to get through the intersection and pulled over. I ran a res light because I was in the middle of the intersection when it turned red and I got over as quick as I could. Then I stopped and about fell out of the truck as I was bailing out because of the smell. My partner that I was working with that day drove by as I was"falling" bailing out of the truck and could not pull over because there was to much traffic. Well he got to where he could pull over and called my cell I had no clue. So, I called him back and told him what happened and he said are you OK and then he laughed his butt off after he knew I was kind of OK. The funny thing was he asked if I was going to make it home and I told him I think so. Never being high before. we had some places to stop in Yuma a half hour west of there and when I got there we had to drop off the trencher to be worked on. I got back in the truck very light headed and felt like I was floating the whole way home. I got out of the truck and Brad said that I sounded drunk when I talked. He asked again how I was feeling and I said pretty dang good. He laughed at me and I said I had to pee. It was dark and I went out by all of the John Deere tractors about falling over to pee. Man it was a heck of a day. I do not recommend ether to anyone it gives you a HELL of a headache the next day. That was my funny high night at work. A few days prior me and another YW guy where trying to spin a well to check the rotation and when we could not get it with just a pipe wrench. Like guys that we are we decided to use a 6 foot 3" steel pipe on the end of the wrench. Sam was pulling and I was pushing and we both ended up on the ground. Sam looked up holding his chin and he was gushing blood so he went to the emergency room to get 5 stitches. It made for a great story when 50 employees are together for safety meeting. I said next time he will listen to me or he would end up with more stitches. as I come up with more stories I will write about them.
