Saturday on call for work

Well I had a late night last night. Which was not to smart. I crawled out of bed at about 8 am and candi heard my phone ringing. I figured it could only be one thing work. I was called by the journeyman who I am on call with and we had a trouble call in another guys area because he was very sick. Well it took us about 45 mins to get there and we got to looking for the problem and found out that it was a simple fix. The ground connection on the transformer had come loose and we got it fixed and headed for home. Well it is opening day for pheasant's today and there were hunters all over the place. I think they are going to have a hard time finding pheasant's because the corn is still to wet to cut so all the pheasant's are hiding out in the corn. I found out also that I am going to work on the underground crew on Monday's and Thursday's, It is very exciting ha ha ha! We finished our mile and a half of three phase on Tuesday and then went back to put up three cross arms on three underground poles and the wind was blowing 60 to 80 mph. It is not much fun standing on a pole when the wind is so strong so we called it a day and went home. we figured it was going to be better the next day but when we got down to the area the wind had picked up to 30 to 40 mph boy it is hard to put an arm on the pole when the wind is blowing so hard off of our hooks. But we got the job done and that was about all we did that day except for pulling some poles and straightening another one. Thongs are going good. I hope that they hire the two new apprentices and they can take my spot and learn to build line. I am now on my third book of the apprentice program with two tests into it. Only 18 more to be done with the program and just put my hours in. I am excited.
